Boasting an enviable position within a small Venetian court, the Hotel Ateneo is situated in a quiet street in the heart of the Old Town, by St. Mark’s Square.

The old building was once the dwelling of eminent merchant families and opened as a hotel in 1959. The establishment is comprised of four floors and overlooks a beautiful canal for gondolas only.

The Hotel Ateneo has preserved the charm of a typical 17th century Venetian residence.

The architectural features of the bedrooms characterize the Venetian design and the fabrics, damasks, and the period furniture boasting a 17th century design, as well as modern comforts, offer our guests Venice’s magical atmosphere in the privacy of their rooms.

Cancellation Policy:

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. If modified later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
