If you are on a budget it is on the main bus route fron the airport and easy to find even in the dark (look for the sign). My experience of the hostel was a very good one. Very central and good if you like a siesta. (99491985)

The room was clean and quiet and the staff pleasant. Perfectly situated at an affordable price. It is serviced by a lift which was allways available.

The fact that taxis cannot enter Sancha des Laras, the street in which the Victoria is situated, would have been a slight advantage. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in this hostel and tjhoght it was good value. (99815875)

Slightly small but not really a problem

I would have liked more accurate info on thte standard of the rooms and the facilities. Also it's at least 5 storeys high in a tall thin building, so feels claustrophobic in the corridors. One major concern was the fire exits and how, realistically, you'd get out if there was a fire downstairs and you were on the upper floors. I'm sure the Hostal complies with local regs - but....... Sheets and towels didn't smell clean and were grimy. Hostal has a friendly feel and is perfectly adequate if you don't mind the above. (99280042)

The Staff were friendly and helpful. The Hostal is well located in the centre of the city, and convenient to all the sites of interest, the beach, shops, cafes and bars. A pleasant place to stay. (99407579)

nice location. just a little old. the biggest complaint is the door was thin wood and only had a dead bolt. there was no safe. the shower curtain could have been thicker. every time I took a shower there was 1 inch of water covering the entire bathroom floor. friendly staff. lift. I paid less for a hostel in Madrid that was 10x nicer. Not that it was bad, just could use some updates. (99298934)

a little old fashioned for $$$. could be updated a bit. for instance there was no safe. the door was very thin wood. Didn't make me feel very secure. not computer access. the shower sucked.

The hotel is in the very centre of the city, reception is open 24 hours, receptionists could speak English. the room was nice and comfortable, the batrhoom clean and big and in our room there was air conditioning and tv. I'm really happy about our stay, the price was reasonable for the position of the hotel and for the accomodation. Bus to the airport stops 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The main street with shops is next door and the cathedral is 3 minutes walk....All restaurants and bars are nearby, but there was no noise from outside, very quiet street. (99483879)

the room was clean and quite big, there was a tv with foreign channels, the bathroom was clean and big, hair dryer was supplied.

This is a real find. Right in the centre and yet right on the port a 1 euro ride from the bus station and airport.Be warned ...very little English understood or spoken both in the hotel or in Malaga (and Granada)so take your phrase book with you.Excellent fish fruit and vegetable marketjust around the corner and lots of delightful eating places within a few minutes walk.Well recommended as a starting and finishing place for your trip to Andalucia. The location and the price of this hotel are its major strongpoints - I expected to pay much more for a room just minutes from the Picasso Museum and Cathedral. Outstanding value! (99317286)

When first booking the hostal, I was looking at availability since this was the end of Semana Santa and the holiday season. Next I looked at the affordability and lastly, the accessablility of the location. I then saw a picture of one of the rooms. It was pleasant and bright, so I thought What a deal! I can easily say that I was not disappointed on any of these points. The desk persons during our stay were extremely helpful with maps and directions and calling for a taxi, etc. My adult daughter and I - two women traveling alone - both felt well cared for and safe. I would recommend this hostal to anyone. (99842926)

The hostal was easy to get to and close to many major sights. The room was small but pleasant with a great view of the passing processions for Semana Santa. It also had a great bathtub, deep enough in which to soak. The tile floors shown. It was very welcoming. The staff was wonderfuland quite personable. They called a taxi for us and helped us with our bags when it was time to leave. We felt ... cared for.

I can't think of anything to dislike about the accomodations.

Amazing power shower! Also ideally located, very central for both the city centre and the ferry port.

Really impressed with the hotel. The staff were very good and the room was exceptional. The location was also amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone but for a single female traveller, it was great to be staying so economically at a hotel just off the main shopping street. (99760909)
