Only stayed for one night but the hotel seemed very pleasant and comfortable and set in ideal surroundings with easy access. (97072044)

Due to the recent heavy flooding in the area we arrived after a 12 hour car journey at 0330hrs. The last 50 miles having taken over 9 hours. We had phoned the Hotel early in the evening when realising it was going to be a long night. It was nice to be reassured by the Hotel that whatever time we arrived we would be looked after. For a Hotel that would normaly close it's reception at midnight we thought this was above and beyond what we could expect. Despite the late hour the Hotel receptionist was very welcoming. (97090577)

Scenic area, pleasant surroundings.

Poor service. Had to wait 15 minutes at reception before anybody appeared. Restaurant staff abrupt and unhelpful. Bar closed at 11.30pm with no service at all after this. No staff at all on duty at night.
