positive comments We liked the fact we could leave the car at the b & b for the duration of our stay, and then walk to the town
Poor

For the price (£59 for the room for the night) and diamond rating we expected a lot more. A welcome from the owners would have been a good way to start. We didn't see them until breakfast the next day. Overall a very poor experience for a stay in such a lovely city. (99109179)

positive comments Excellent location to the town centre
negative comments Check in was very strange - no one at the hotel, a note left on a table to say which room we were in and to go straight in. Parking was very poor, only 2 spaces (which we were lucky enough to get one of) and very difficult to get into to. General cleanliness of the room was very poor, looked like it needed a really good clean.

positive comments HANDY TO THE CITY CENTRE. handy to city centre.
negative comments Generally an untidy and unloved hotel. Felt uncomfortable staying there. Parking facility difficult to access (very little room), difficult to negotiate, only space for two vehicles, difficult to find in the dark, badly illuminated and no access from car parking area through the back of the hotel.

In all, for one night stay, it was perfect. Great value, comfortable rooms and well situated. The parking however might be a problem if you are staying during the week as it is very restricted and limited. We didn't have breakfast as we left really early. (3304368849)

positive comments Rooms were clean and comfortable.
negative comments Because we were only in town for one afternoon, we were hoping to ask the hotel staff for things to see or do but during our whole stay, we didn't see anyone at all.

Having read other reviews before booking we were happy that the accommodation was as expected if not better. It was ideal for our requirements for an inexpensive overnight stay and the breakfast was generous and varied. We found the manager helpful and obliging. (2763986)

positive comments Accessibility to Bath as we wished to be in walking distance of a graduation ceremony the following day.

We would liked to have been better informed about the parking (only two places).Told by the owners its first come first served. For a hotel with what appears to be six rooms the other gusets were moaning as well. It would have been quite nice not to worry about the car all night parked outside on a yellow line and having to move it early next morning it would have been better not to have had that anxiety arriving late and tired after three hours .The website should explain that better ,instead of saying `private parking` it did mislead us.The owner did let us have a parking permit next morning but it was a problem even with this to find a free space. Also the carpets did not reflect the better decor of the hotel..They just looked grubby (not worn) just very dirty.I know it was at the end of the season but they were quite disgusting in our room and the fan extractor in our bathroom was full of dust and fluff. positive comments Near to all attractions and close to the city centre
negative comments Sending out a map with the confirmation booking.although we did find the hotel eventually we did get a bit lost without asking directions from the local police station. Carpets throughout the hotel could do with a very good clean they were very dirty .

if you are looking for a quality place to stay, close to Bath city centre, Dorset Villa is ideal. It is only a short walk from all the main sights and shopping areas of the city and has limited free parking to the rear. The rooms are of adequate size although not all are en suite, you need to make sure you specify this when booking. On arrival the room was immaculate. It is on a main road, so although we were in the back of the house, if you have a room at the front, it could be quite noisy. (2842975)

positive comments its proximity to the city centre and the free parking facilities. the guest house was very clean and staff friendly
negative comments the directions, although simple once we realised where we were going, were a bit vague
