Good
clean hotel, close to the
centre of
Bath. Excellent
breakfast!!
Jennifer from Pulborough, GB (Mature couple) 17 February 2008
Wonderful staff. Very attentive. Big freshly cooked breakfast included. Hotel very central, without being noisy, just a couple of hundred meters into the centre of town. Lovely old Georgian terraced building; gives great flavour of Bath. Free safe parking worked for us but I guess you might be unlucky if hotel very busy. Nice to just forget about your car as you do not need it in Bath as everything is within walking distance. We found the hotel clean and comfortable and very good value. This is the fifth time I have stayed here over about 25 years. (97214640)

Reception was
great and very
helpful. We booked a superior room and was very impressed...
comfortable and a pleasure to return to after a hard day
walking around
Bath!! The
breakfast was excellent, and they use
local or organic products as much as possible. Would
recommend it, and would stay again!

The people in the room above left the tap running and it came through the electric light into our room, bit scary and we were unable to contact anyone for help for 15 minutes.

We liked the fact that it was so close to the middle of
bath. The breakfasts were
great and the rooms were
nice and
warm on such a cold weekend. Our room was much bigger than it looked on the website. Limited
parking was dealt with easily when a permit was available at the hotels
reception.

A really lovely hotel in a great location. Easy to park and easy to walk into town. (97921609)
Clean,
great breakfast,
friendly staff and very
comfortable bed.

Shower was a bit hard to control but better too strong than too weak.

Lovely large room, very
comfortable armchairs. Very
pleasant stsff on
reception throughout our stay. Very convenient for
central Bath amaenities.

Would no have come by car if I had realised how
little parking was available at hotel. Took me half an hour to find a
parking space in the pouring rain.
Dining room was unpleasantl;y crowded on Sunday morning.
Lighting in bedroom was a bit deficient (as is so often the case in hotels)
michael from Cliftonville, GB (Mature couple) 02 November 2007
Hotel was ideal for visiting Bath, easy to find and park, 5 minute stroll to city centre. Could not find anything negative to say, we stayed in superior room and it was very large and comfortable, could do with better tv and definately a radio but only minor points. Breakfast was good and plentiful and what little we saw of the staff( our choice) they were friendly and very helpful. (97364655)
location was perfect for sight seeing and
city centre

The staff were
friendly and
helpful, the rooms were
clean. It was
quiet, the
breakfast was fantastic.

Didn't really dislike anything about the accommodation although the bed in our room was too soft and being 7 months pregnant I found it hard to get
comfortable and sleep!
teresa from Bridgend, GB (Mature couple) 20 October 2007
Excellent location to view and visit the city centre. Friendly and cooperative staff. The rooms were spotless and no disturbances from fellow guests. Good choice of breakfast, prunes to haddock. (97408740)

The
location, appearance and cleanliness

Nothing to dislike. The size of the
double plus room was a
little disappointing, but not a major disappointment.
Paul from Haslemere, GB (Young couple) 29 September 2007
Overall a good experience, the dining room wasn't big enough so we had to line up for breakfast. Staff were helpfully and pleasant to deal with, good value for money. (97497826)

The room was neat and
clean, locate close to the
city, with a good
view.

No
bar fridge,
small room, soft bed. The
breakfast was average.

we got a bit lost trying to find the hotel, the instructions sent us in the wrong direction, this was not the hotels fault but the web site that we used. (99295970)

very close to the
city you can
park the car and forget it for your stay,

the lift was a bit old
Jeremy from Horsham, GB (Mature couple) 21 May 2007
A clean, pleasant hotel that is well situated for cenrtral Bath.
We were able to leave the car in the car park unused for three days.
Breakfast was excellent and there are a mass of first class restaurants in easy walking distance that demand to be explored.
Don't miss the oportunity to take lunch or dinner in the Hole in the Wall restaurant. (99333480)
Clean and plenty of room

Shower was difficult to operate to
warm temperatures

Location of the hotel is very central and, although breakfast was VERY slow one of two mornings, it was good with local sourcing and fair trade products where possible. The hotel does not, however, deserve five stars, particularly obvious as our stay the following night in a four star hotel was of MUCH higher standard. (99618019)

Pleasant, basic accomodations in an excellent location. Close enough to the center of Bath to walk there easily, but far enough away from the bustle of the day-tripper crowds. Very much enjoyed Henritta Park located directly behind the hotel. Quiet and restfull hotel. Very good cooked-to-order breakfast. No air conditioning, small television. Room size, which is sometimes as issue, was not a problem in the Plus room we stayed in. It was not overly large, but was quite sufficent. (3304823240)

Simplr,
clean accomodations at an historically interesting
location.

No air conditioning. We were fortunate the July weather we experined was clear and cool. It might have been otherwise.
Tim from Bracknell, United Kingdom;GB (Solo business traveller) 22 June 2006
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel as I will not be going back there despite all the positives - the location is great, the breakfast is good. Parking facilites were good. The room was massive. BUT - the bed was so uncomfortable and for any hotel the one thing you really need is a place to sleep. Unless you like a very very soft mattress this is not for you. I had backache for three days after staying which s annoying as I would have gone back otherwise. Also - there is no Wi-Fi network which for business users can be an invonvenience. (3304849731)

Lovely,
spacious room;
nice decor;

Shower wasn't
great; hard to keep water from splashing all over foor. Not enough towels. Iron/ironing board was not available in room - only to use in laundry room.

The service and facilities provided were excellent. The situation was great: easy walking distance from the shops and attractions of the City, but quiet, with views over a beautiful park. Driving access to the hotel was simple, and tha parking very convenient. Breakfast was very good: organic, locally sourced produce, and plenty of it! (3304338052)

Beautiful building in an elegant
street. Relaxed but efficient staff at
reception and dining room. Car
park.

Very minor quibbles: Room a
little too
warm. No
bar.
