This was very basic accommodation but ideal in terms of location and price. (97110288)
Clean,
quiet, excellent
location
Small bar of soap only.
Bathroom door not sealed when closed, paper-thin walls so could be very
noisy depending on guests above or adjoining.

Overall very adequate and conveniently located to key mainline stations, bus routes and the underground. (97498858)

Cooked
breakfast was not large but of good ingredients.

i wish there was better facilities and better layout to the place. the only good point about it was that i was in the centre and close to everything. other than that very poor. (97005084)

the fact it was
near to the centre of
london was
great. oposite the
tube station was
great as well

smell of paint, room was shabby,
shower was terrible and not that good. there was no
tea or
coffee making facilities in the room. tv
reception was
poor and there is too much
noise going on from other rooms that kept me awake.
paul from norwich, GB (Young couple) 20 February 2008
A clean hotel pleasant staff and very well situated close to the tube station so very easy to get to anywhere in London. A great base to visit the capital. (97343052)

check in was easy and the staff we friendly, apart from carrying our bags up may flights of stairs getting to the room was ok. our room needed a paint, there were black fag marks everywhere and cracks and holes in the walls. the bathroom door was horrible, even when it was shut there was still that crack in the door you can see through, making anyone on the toile feel uneasy, i would have liked to have seen a curtain for the shower and a lock on the bathroom door. other than that the bed was comfortable, the t.v nice to have and the room in general was cheap. good for young couples. (97248509)
nice view,
friendly staff,
cheap
toilet/
shower - no lock, no
shower cutain, could still see through to the toliet once dor was shut. also the rooms need a re-paint
kathryn from glasgow, GB (Solo business traveller) 16 February 2008
Unsatisfactory. The hotel is in a poor state of repair. The rooms are unclean without tea or coffee making facilities. It is in need of upgrade but basic cleanliness standards including clean bedding should be maintained meantime. I would be reluctant to visit this hotel again. I felt unsafe because the door would not lock. (97075449)

The
door didn't shut properly on my room. The room was unclean and the sheets had stains on them.
Jason from London, GB (Mature couple) 13 February 2008
The rooms were very small, The waqlls were very thin so you could hear everything from the next room. Very Very basic hotel. Breakfast service very short (97050754)

Convenience and
quiet location.

Some redecoration work in progress.
christopher from jersey, GB (Other) 06 February 2008
this hotel is in a great location and the staff were welcoming and obliging, the only thing i can say that would improve my experience is that the rooms need to be freshend up and the shower be inproved. otherwise we enjoyed our stay, and would use your hotel again. I think with a few quid spent on it this hotel would be perfect and excellent value for money. Once again great staff (97651358)

close proximity to underground/buses etc
the staff were very helpfull and polite

the room was a bit tired though some redecoration was taking place

Anonymous (Other) 27 November 2007
The first impression was not great when we got in at 10.30 on Friday night ( just arrived at Kings Cross ) as the guy on the desk had a mouth full of chips which he was eating out of a paper - I was travelling with my daughter and my first reaction was to leave and find another hotel - however things looked much better in the morning and we could that efforts were being made to improve the facilities. As I said above, the duvet cover was not clean although the rest of the linen was - also, although it had the smallest bathroom I've ever seen, it was very clean and the shower was a treat with plenty of hot water. (97300340)
Easy to get to from
Kings Cross Station - good
breakfast included in the
price.

The room was very
small but for a one night stay this was not an issue - overall the standard was good but it was clear that the duvet cover on one of the beds had not been washed although the sheets, pillowcases and towels were all spotless - this spoiled an otherwise good impression.

Anonymous (Mature couple) 25 November 2007
The booking process was very efficient. I received a confirmation o the booking.
The room was clean and warm. The breakfast was good.
I especially liked the fact that on checkout I was able to leave my suitcase and pick it up later in the day. However, I was a bit worried about the lack of sucurity for the suitcase.
The staircase to the rooms is very narrow and winding and would not be suitable for unfit people. (97528929)

It was
clean and warm.
Anonymous (Mature couple) 19 November 2007
Staff were very friendly.
Breakfasts were freshly cooked, and guests were offered as much hot toast and fresh tea as they wanted.
The hotel is ideally located to the Kings Cross/St Pancras stations/underground area
More information about local bistros/restraunts would have been useful
The hotel is undergoing re-furbishment at the time of my stay, although this did not affect my overall opinion of the accommodation. (97117296)
Location was ideally situated for my travelling. The hotel was
clean, warm and they served an excellent
breakfast

The hotel was near the train station, It provided clean bedding and towels. All staff were friendly. Only thing that let this hotel down was the fact that it didn't have a drink facilities in the room. If you are looking for a cheap , clean over night stay and you take with you your travel kettle and other refreshments this hotel should suit your needs. (97930427)

near kings cross station
small room and en suite
Ruth from Birmingham, GB (Solo leisure traveller) 15 October 2007
Very easy to get to as opposite king's cross station. There were no hairdriers or tea making facilities in room, however the Mcdonalds on the corner solved that problem. Looked very worn but was clean and was actually being painted at the time. The accommodation was very basic but adequate for a one night stay on a budget. (97843375)

Close proximity to train
station.
Cheap.

Very thin walls. No lift and very narrow staircase made it difficult to get heavy suitcase to room.
