As the focus of our trip was to see a band play locally,the hotel was kinda of the invisible part of the trip. However as these things go you do tend to remember when you have any bad experience and this reflects on the quality of your overall weekend. To put it simply the hotel was not the subject of any negative feedback on the journey home. In fact due to the helpfulness of the staff, the calming nature of the hotel's enviroment it enhanced our overall impression of bristol. To coin a well known phrase it did everything it said on the tin and some. The 'and some' is the little things that stand out, the doors to the toilet, the bar man who served us beer in a friendly way, the ordering of a taxi with a minimum of fuss despite the member of staff clearly doing 3 other things and the quality of the scrambled eggs! The hotel is locted close to the city centre, trains and buses and is very modern throughout the building. Although it is also about a ten minute walk to the city centre, it was quite difficult to find initilly (next time I will get a comprehensive map of Bristol!) It was also very convenient to the local railway station for a day trip to Bath (about a 12 minute journey) As a fairly regular traveller I can honestly say that my stay at Novotel was one of the most enjoying experiences I have had over this past twenty years. The bedroom was superb, food excellent and the staff were always available and most helpful (particularly as this was a busy bank holiday weekend). Since my return to Belfast, I have encouraged friends to spend a weekend in Bristol - at Novetel. (99574216)

The television, while modern had limited channels (particularly annoying when we were hotel bound due to non-stop rain for 24 hours.)

The hotel staff were very efficient and as the room was booked on-line the check-out was speedy. the buffet breakfast was varied and good quality. The room were a reasonable size but Ido prefer a bath instead of jsut a shower. (99257010)

The check in was quick and efficient and we were advised of where to go to reach the room and where/when breakfast was served. The room was very spacious and clean and had a brilliant modern shower. The position of the hotel did not quite suit us but is central none the less and the deal we got was worth it. Underground parking at £5 for the overnight stay was good. Why can't hotels such as this offer free internet connection, free parking etc. It's such a scandal and one day clients will just not go back to these places if they don't stop trying to take all the time

The room was a good size, bathroom was great, equipment in room good.

Sue and I were there for only a short weekend break but we found the hotel the ideal location. Because of its situation guests can walk into the centre of Bristol without any problems. We had a great time. (3304370981)

My whole experience at the Novotel in Bristol was excellent. Right the way through from booking to the actual stay itself, to checking out - the staff were curteous, the facilities were clean and comfortable, the food was of a very high standard and my general impression of the hotel is extremely high.
