Would not stay there again in a hurry, I felt it was exspensive for what we got.. (99443488)

The bed was
clean and
comfortable..
Nice but exspensive
bar.

The room was extremely
small, the
shower was cold both in the evening and the morning. Very limited choice of tea and coffee, like many people I used de-caffinated coffee.(this choice was not available). The
breakfast was only just
adequate, I felt it was like eating in a canteen and the full
breakfast was badly cooked and again with limited choice,(not the best 3 star hotel i have stayed in). You have to wait a long time for a lift, as there are about 11 floors, we were on 6 and had to wait about 10 minutes, not good if you are in a hurry..

Lovely, central hotel with friendly, helpful staff. (97992165)

Excellent
location,
friendly and
helpful staff.
Comfortable room with good
facilities.

Check in was a disaster. We arrived early and left our luggage but were not
told to complete the paper work. When we returned at 14:30 to check in, we were
told our room was not ready/cleaned, and may not be till later that evening, as we hadn't completed paper work on arrival at 10:00. We had a further one and a half hours to wait before we could check in which is very inconsiderate.

Reasonable value for money for central London location. (97301007)

Good
location, close to the
Tube and
central London.
Breakfast quality
poor.

Room was functional, hotel was well-located for my purposes, and staff were helpful, particularly the concierge staff. (97751949)

Room basically worked as needed, except that toilet-paper holder was broken. Coffee-maker in room.

Drink machines on lower two floors would not take Pound coins; no apparent effort being made to fix them (desk staff said they "sometimes work").
Room was very
small.
Andrew from Woodgreen, GB (Mature couple) 28 May 2008
The check-in was a little slow and when we arrived at our room it was still full of someone else's bags. The staff were appologetic, and gave us another room straight away. The location was fantastic, we were able to walk to China Town for a meal and then onto the theatre and walk back again.
The only downside was inadequate double glazing that let in a lot of city noise. We would book again, but next time we would ask for a room facing the rear rather than the front of the hotel. (97090529)
Central Location, very reasonably priced
Poor double glazing letting in a lot of city noise

Smart

central location.

Rooms require a
little updating.

Did not realise that there would be steps to the reception. One of us was on sticks and this proved awkward. (97681132)
Comfortable beds and good
shower
Extractor fan going all night and terrible smell of food when
window was open.

may stay again but would request a room away from busy street frontage (97851824)
Clean and excellent
central location
check in very slow (15 minutes)Room over looked Tottenham Court Road and although windows closed, very
noisy, disturbed at 4-00am by shouting from the

This is a good hotel for a short visit. If you want a no frills place to stay this is it. I will come again. (97893727)

The staff was
helpful and efficient. The room
clean , the bed
comfortable.
Breakfast was plentyful and varied. The restaurant exellent.

The room was a bit warm at night and the television had
poor reception.

I liked the hotel, but if I'd known check in would take so long, I might have planned to arrive at a different time of day (97715932)

The view from 9th
floor was
great. The room we had (at end of corridor) was a really unusual shape, felt very spacious. everything very
clean
The 20 minute queue to check in - heaven knows how long it would have taken if a coach party had arrived in front of us - why have only 3 desks open at 2pm on a Saturday - prime check in time.

We were told we were given an upgrade, as it was my boyfriends birthday, but the room as no bigger than my bedroom at home and includes the bathroom. Very disappointed. (97938582)

close to west end

The room. Very very

Good Hotel in Good Location at fair price and with helpfull staff. Lifts need an update/computer control. (97307414)

good
location,
clean room, helpfull staff

Uk hotels have never even heard of
Air Conditioning !, an Oven even in winter, only way to cool the room was to leave the
window open (
noisy !), the
lifts were old when Noah was building his boat ! often 10 minutes+ wait to get down from the 8th
floor.

A well located hotel in central London. Reasonably priced for the facilities. Would certainly use the hotel again as it is a gem for overnight stays in town. (97097798)

A
nice room with the seperate living
area. A
great view from the bedroom
window. A
clean hotel

The
central heating did not work but an electric heater was in the room which worked fine.

I would have liked to have known that this hotel would'nt satisfy my requirements in relation to having an Internet connection or/ and a suitable room to work in. (97226515)

The
location (
central London). The
bar and the restaurant downstairs(Chinese)

No wireless connection for the Internet on my room. When I asked to get a cable I was
told that this connection only was a dial-up connection.I had to work between meetings downstairs by the lobby (not sufficient, - will not choose this hotel on business trips again).
Sarah from Dunboyne, Co Meath, IE (Young couple) 11 November 2007
I really liked the fact that there was an ironing board and iron available on the 6th floor, that there was a fan in the room and that there were spare pillows (99816843)
Location, cleanliness and the fact that because it was so busy, there were enough people at check in so that the queue moved very quickly

Rooms VERY
small but expected in city centre
location. Towels were too
small.

Hotel room was fine - just what we needed. I was impressed by the
bar staff remembering our order for the second round, despite the fact the
bar was crowded.

It would have been nicer to have a better view!

The hotel was ideally placed, the rooms were adequate in size and clean. The staff at reception were very efficient, they dealt with customers immediately. (99132897)

The hotel was right where you needed it to be,
location 10/10

noisy, but acceptable due to the

Our room was very hot, but we couldn't keep the window open during the night as the noise coming from an air-conditioner/extractor fan(?) was very loud.
The fan in the bathroom didn't work. We reported this but it was never fixed. To be honest I'm not sure the receptionist understood what we were telling her.
The room was small but all we needed and ideal as a base for our theatre weekend due to it's central location. (99138648)

Our room was
clean and appeared to be recently refurbished.

It was very difficult to understand, or be understood by some of the
reception staff, perhaps it was our Scottish accents!

This hotel is ideal for people visiting London for the first time, as it is so central, you can access all the visitor attractions easily from it. With taxis outside the door and tube station nearby, you can make your way around London very easily from here. The hotel itself is clean and pleasant in all aspects. I would recommend it highly. (2399137)

The hotel is very centrally
located, with
easy access to all
facilities. It is large, but functions very efficiently.

The only slight issue I had while staying in the St. Giles is that the
lifts took a long time to arrive on many occasions. Otherwise all was fine.
