With our wealth of travel experience throughout the world,we were not impressed. (97632520)

Convenient.

Poor value for money,particularly
food and wine,
house wine in a 2-3 star hotel at £15 a bottle is a rip off.B&B means breakfasst
included,not a self
service poorly provided meal at £8+ and toast & coffee at £3.50.we were not impressed with
courtesy tpt.at £3 pp.The room was passable,but ancient
small tv in this technical age is inexcusable

Very
friendly people and excellent
breakfast.

When your plane arrives
early, you
can't check in because no one was
home. Check out time is a bit
early when your plane leaves later.

Welcoming and helpful yet intrusive for busy travellers to get in, get on and everything works smoothly. (99204455)

Excellent from booking to payment to
breakfast to location and help by staff. Highly recommended to friends and colleagues. Will definately fly to
Gatwick and use again.
Brian from Risca, Gwent, GB (Family with older children) 02 June 2008
Clean and tidy is what everyone wants, no one should have to lower their standard of hygine when you stay in b&bs, guest houses or hotels, this accommadation met all what we wanted. owner made us welcome and told us the local layout, where and when to go. Our flight meant that we had to leave befor breakfast in the morning so can't comment on the food, but the eating area looked clean, tidy, bright and airy. (97022394)

great nights sleep the day before traveling back to the states
Linda from St Helens Park, AU (Solo leisure traveller) 15 December 2007
The staff were friendly and helpful. The accomodation clean although I prefer to sleep in a double bed rather than a single. I unexectadly stayed for 3 nights which I found it was too far away from London but that was not the fault of the B&B. Although having said that it was easy to catch the train to London from the local train station. Breakfast was lovely. As a stopover on the way to the airport I can't fault it. (97767742)

The
accomodation was
clean in a
nice area.

I asked for a
taxi booking for 5.30am on the day i was leaving and it wasnt arranged. i had the forethought to ask for the
taxi number and ended up phoning myself after standing out the front for half an hour after the appointed time
Mary from McKinney, US (Solo business traveller) 11 November 2007
I was very pleased with the accommodations. The room was very clean and fresh. Everything was very tidy, and the hospitality was very friendly and considerate. There was a prompt taking to the airport.
The food was great. The atmoshpere was friendly. I would definately stay again and recommend my friends to stay. I have been to other hotels overnight and I found them old and moldy, not even sure if the sheets were clean, but your accommodations were exceptional. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely
place. Mary from Dallas, Texas (97234036)

It was the first time I went to England. I was honestly expecting a higher standard for the price I paid but then I was told by an english friend who lives nearby that that's an entry price for the area I was in. Otherwise the owners were very friendly and helpful and that's a very important thing for a foreigner. (97333960)

The
friendly attitude of the
owners. The possibility to prepare a tea on the room.

Room was a bit too cold. I was waken by an alarm clock I did not set.

Good value for the money paid , considering that all taxes were included as well as a good full english breakfast.5 Minutes from Gatwick airport. Arrival after hours will cost a GBP 7 fare by taxi.A 5 minute walk into the little town will provide good dining even after hours( Chinese or Indian food).Overall a good option to saty for the traveler in transit. There is lounge one can use,if departure time is after the check out time at 10:30. (99167898)

Very
friendly and
helpful owners.
Proximity to
Gatwick airport a big advantage. Very
nice breakfast and no other charges upon check out.Prompt transfer to
airport.
Clean and quiet room, although
small ensuite bathroom( but this is not a minus, as it is to be expected in the UK)

Initially, upon
arrival (22:00) there was no-one at the property to receive guests; instead a telephone outside the front door provided direct access to the
owners and a code was provided to enter on the door lock to gain entry. Seemed impersonal, but the explanation provided the following morning was satisfactory.
Small ensuite might be problem if there is more than one person occupying the room, but for one it is adequate.
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 10 July 2007
I called them from the courtesy phone at Gatwick airport when I arrived and they picked me up promptly, very friendly, and checked me into my room. Prior to that they had emailed me to confirm my time of arrival. As I had to leave early the next day before the shuttle was running, they ordered a taxi for me. My stay was very short, but I would stay there again if I needed a stop-over accomodation. (99421855)
Comfortable room, quiet and peaceful after the stresses of travel.
Friendly staff.

As my departing flight left
early and I had to be at the
airport by 7:15 am, I missed out on the
breakfast that was
included in the cost of the room. It would have been
nice if the
breakfast was served earlier - ie starting at 6:30 am instead of 7:30 am for travellers that have to get up and out
early.
shirley from Whitby, Ontario, CA (Solo leisure traveller) 06 July 2007
Everything was good but I was not sure that there was anyone available 24/7. There was an emergency number to call if you had a problem during the night and staff seemed to arrive back around 7 am. (99341506)

very
clean room and good sheets

no hairdryer was my only negative item.
Richard from Allen, US (Family with older children) 05 July 2007
We enjoyed our stay. It is owned by a husband and wife. Along with their staff member, they tried very hard to please us each time we had a need. They were very friendly. The house is extremely clean, and we felt safe. It is a great value.
The included breakfast was excellent - eggs, Canadian bacon, toast, cereal, fruit, sausage, and more.
The house is located close to Gatwick Airport. We stayed at the house, needing a place before we flew out. It was ideal for our needs - they even gave us a ride to the airport. (99426878)

Telephoned to confirm booking and likely arrival time before leaving home - good to know you are expected and that booking has gone through. Greeted on arrival by name. Rooms simple but very clean and tidy with all that we needed. Located very close to Horley town centre - lovely small town with friendly residents and plenty of places to eat. Were able to leave car and walk to station to catch train for London - trains ran about every 30 minutes. Full english breakfast served in sunny conservatory accompanied by friendly chat with owners and other guests. (99744090)
