First time visitor to Gloucester - hard to find hotel. Difficult to find centre by car. Guest service performance of staff was excellent. Because of awkward location I would not stay again. (97187599)

Thermostat complicated and did not adjust temperature.
We chose this hotel while attending the Cheltenham races, its about a 15 min drive away, not as close as I would have liked, but that wasn't the hotels fault! Room was on the small side, no mini bar and sound proof'n was non existent, lots of bang'n of doors and voices in the corridor. Hotel bar/lobby lacked any atmosphere, very open plan, nice decor but just something was missing. We ended up going into Cheltenham for a meal on both nights of our stay for a bit of atmosphere. Breakfast was very good, with friendly staff! Had a look around the pool area, but didn't use it. (97796969)
Nice friendly staff, especially at breakfast! Banging of doors, people could be heard outside room in corridor.when I had a problem with the room the staff was excellent at sorting out the problem. My only concern was they just let themselves in our room with there own key without knocking on door at the time I was naked in bathroom. Also in morning the chambers maids just walked into room again without knocking first. (97054215)

Good entrance area, welcoming. View from bedroom window was pretty and Virginia creeper looked lovely, turning red. Bedroom small but adequate and well-equipped. Bed smaller than used to but comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment. (97989490)

We enjoyed very much the Spa facilities. We found the family room a bit too small.The stay was fine apart from the size of the room (already mentioned) and the fact the reception desk was unmanned when we arrived and we had to wait for at least 5 mins to be seen. Despite this the hotel was clean, modern, has good facilities and provided good value for money. We would gladly return. (99329063)
Clean, modern, everything we needed was available It was billed as a family room so we expected 2 double beds. However, it seemed to be a standard sized room with the sofa converted to a bed and a temporary bed added. Meant a lack of overall space.No overall comment. (99720099)
