Hotel de la Motte Picquet

My stay was made very pleasant by the accomodating friendly staff of the hotel. I would have liked to know that the hotel was entirely non smoking. Also to have been fully aware that there was no in house restaurant and bar facilities as a lone female traveller these facilities would have been useful. (97841190)

It was ideally located for visiting the main attractions in paris and had good surrounding restaurants. staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Although I had booked a smoking room online, on arrival I found the entire hotel to be non smoking. This was not made clear on the website.

The hotel is in an ideal location, and although the rooms are small, I liked the way they were all individually decorated. The staff were excellent, spoke perfect English and were more than happy to recommend places to eat etc. Would definitely recommend it! (97534397)

Parking

This is an excellent choice for seeing Paris - it is not far to walk to many of the major sights - Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Musee d'Orsay, to name but a few - and the nearest Metro station is about 50 metres down the street. There are excellent cafes and restaurants very close by; there is a lift, although not to the breakfast room, however there is the option to have breakfast in your room. It is also very reasonable for the centre of Paris. We will definitely be recommending it to others, and would be more than happy to stay there again. (99428112)

The whole experience was very positive: our room was a little small - we preferred to think of it as bijou - but it was clean and comortable and decorated with style, echoing the hotel's character. The staff were very helpful, breakfasts excellent - wonderful pastries! - and the situation, near the Ecole Militaire, was wonderful.

Would have liked a better shower, and the breakfast room was a little cramped,but everything else was fine.

Situated within yards of a Métro station, the hotel is handy for central Paris but also within easy reach of local shopping streets of great quality. The accommodation is comfortable with a pleasing décor. The staff are highly professional and extremely helpful. (99985144)
